Remembrance Sunday seems to be the more commemorated day here which is why I always do mine on the Day.

The first year we moved out here we observed Remembrance Sunday. Days later my daughter's went out distributing some leaflets (first thing on the 11th) and were seriously chastised by the locals and had to stop there and then.
They soon realised how seriously the French take it!
